Candle Safety & Maintenance Tips

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep away from flammable materials like curtains or bedding.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Place on a heat-resistant surface while burning.
Trim wicks to 1/4 inch before each burn. Keeping a short wick helps extend the candle’s life, minimizes soot, and ensures optimal performance.
For the first burn, allow the candle to melt fully across the surface (about 3-4 hours) to prevent tunneling.

Additional Candle Care

Avoid drafts to prevent uneven burning and excess soot.
Let candles cool completely before relighting to maintain wax quality and fragrance.
Use a candle snuffer to extinguish flames cleanly, reducing smoke and keeping the wick in optimal condition.
Stop burning at 1/2 inch of remaining wax to prevent vessel overheating and extend the jar’s usability for refills.
Store candles in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight to preserve fragrance. Keeping the lid on when not in use helps maintain scent strength.
